How do I create an account?

Accounts can be created using the Spot Parking App. Here, you can make an account which is then approved by your organization through the Admin Portal to be used on Spot Watch. Feel free to go here for more info.

What is the purpose of List View

In List View you can see all the current violations of any illegally parked car on campus in real time. You can sort this list to your liking. If you click on a given violation you will enter Citation View, where you can issue a ticket.

What is the purpose of Map View and what do the different colors mean?

In Map View you can see a live updating map of all the parking spots on campus as well if they are vacant, occupied legally (green), occupied illegally (red) or occupied with an unknown license plate (orange). If you click on any spot that is occupied you can see information about the vehicle's session.

What is the purpose of Citation View

Citation View is used to issue and print a digital or actual ticket. In Citation View, you can see where the car is parked in live map at the bottom of the screen, as well as the ticket information and plate history of the vehicle. You can adjust the price if necessary in the ticket information section.

What happens if under ticket information if some thing is wrong (ex. license plate #, violation type or spot number)?

Once in Citation View, you can click on most fields to freely adjust their value. These changes will save when you either cite or delete the violation.

What do I do if I click the printer button and it doesn’t work?

Make sure your printer is turned on and connected to the network, then make sure your device is connected to the printer via the Settings section of the app.

What happens if someone appeals a ticket or wants to appeal a ticket?

If opted in, people who receive a citation can submit an appeal through the Spot Parking mobile app or through the web portal. Otherwise, they will go through the normal appeal process adopted by your organization.
